As this letter is being written, our mountains are ablaze, our air quality is that of an ash tray and people are losing their homes. Our firefighters, emergency personal, and volunteers are all coming together to help during this horrible disaster. It seems that it is only during these emergencies that people truly come together to help each other. As our politicians are screaming at each other, the town halls are more like town alley fights and the left is screaming at the right and the right is screaming at the left. Health care or no health care, guns or no guns, GM without Pontiac, gas without emissions, safety without tax and what about immigration?
Where the hell am I going with all of this? I suppose that I am a bit frustrated is all. If you are reading this, you probably share a similar passion, the automobile. Over the last 10 years, we have all done so much good, had so much fun without any reference to race, color, creed, political views, socio-economic status and caring what kind of car you drive. From individuals to clubs, we have helped the children, law enforcement, countless charities with our car shows, drives and golf tournaments. Perhaps the rest of the world should take a note from us?!
In any event, thank you all for the fun, for letting us be a part of it and for supporting each other. Be well, safe and I am going for a drive!
Dustin
