It seems Mercedees has the policy Ferrari used to have on selling new cars at retail but used ones at market value. New AMG Black about $138K. Used $158K. Pretty weird. Anyway, the car had good power. Lots (too much) interior exhaust noise at low speed. The 1-2 full throttle paddle shift was kinda slow, but I guess that's pretty common for any paddle shift car. Well, maybe except the 430 scuderia.
The car had lots of grip and had a nice stiff ride. The steering wheel was just right and the paddles followed the wheel. Lots of support in the seats too. Being a sedan, it felt sorta big.
All in all if I had a parking spot and an extra $150K, I guess I would own one.

The black series is a CLK, which is a Coupe, not a sedan.... a semi-large coupe but still, 2-doors...

I believe MB hit a homerun with this car. This car fills a niche, the racer/enthusiast, that they have ignored or did not fully embrace before.

I always thought the more subtle CLK AMG63 would be a great daily driver, and as I already said, more "invisible"/regular-CLK looking. :)
