I also wanted to give a big thank you to all the good folks at Calspeed Karting. When we arrived at the track the sprinklers from the big speedway had stuck in the on position and poured water across part of the track. The guys at Calspeed got a crew out to finally get the water off. The problem was not at all the fault of Calspeed but even with that they refunded 1/2 the money to our guys who rented karts and 1/3 of the rest of us. It was totally unnecessary but that's how great these guys are and why we like to go here. Thanks Rob, you're crew is first class. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gifhttp://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gifhttp://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

Btw, it was fun turning some 360's through the water, even if unplanned. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif

The standing water was pretty deep and any input to the throttle pretty much brought you around.

Bummer - did it dry out pretty quickly?

Bummer - did it dry out pretty quickly?

Funny thing was they were squeeging (sp) it but the water hadn't been turned off so that didn't accomplish much. Soon after the water was turned off they got a blower out there and dryed the track. It was really only the first 2-3 runs that were wet. :)

It was like a NASCAR race. They even had a jet dryer.

So what was different about the track config - I think Jon said a "Nuovo" config on F-Chat or something...? In the video posted it looks like normal clockwise.

If you look at Cal Speeds website it shows the track configuration. It removes the tough tight right hander into the hairpin left. We were running a couple of seconds faster in this config.
